The Read Green Initiative is offering (at least) one free year-long magazine subscription of your choice! The mags are online, and you'll receive an email when new issues are up.
These are offered to promote digital magazine-reading.The experience is a bit different than holding an actual paper magazine in your hands, but it doesn't
need to be hauled to the recycling bin, either!
Pages that you like can be saved on your computer or printed, which is nice for recipes and such.
There are hundreds to choose from. I picked Ode, which is a European mag that looked interesting. I also got an email offering a free to subscription to Viv, which is an online women's mag that has video content as well as print.
They do not ask for credit card info, so no automatic payment can begin later.
